Car airbag cover has a rigid base (1), an outer skin (2) and a layer of foam (3) between these. It has lines of weakness (4) which run from a recess (8) in the base almost to the surface of the outer skin. These are formed by two layers of skin (6) which are in contact and run through the foam layer. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing the cover comprising molding the skin using a tool with a edge-shaped component whose edges are used to form the layers of skin which form the line of weakness.
