METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPINDLE SPEED OF OPTICAL DISK

PURPOSE: A controlling method for a spindle speed of an optical disk is provided to precisely decide a corresponding zone within a short time in an unstable state of a system. CONSTITUTION: A rotating speed of an optical disk is decided for checking detecting time of a specific area according to rotation of the disk. The detecting time for the rotating speed of the disk is compared with a decided rotating speed for each section to check a present section of the disk. Then, the rotating speed of the disk is controlled according to the rotating speed of the decided section. A time for detecting a sector unit and a time for detecting a head area are different according to the rotating speed of the disk. Herein, a zone checking table is arranged for comparing the detecting times with a table value for precisely deciding present zone location.
