The invention relates to an injection nozzle for a fuel injection system. The opening stroke of the valve needle can be limited selectively so that different injection cross-sections can be used. To this end, the inventive injection nozzle is provided with the following: a valve body (10); a valve needle (20) which is displaceable in said valve body; two groups of injection holes (12, 14) which are exposed according to the opening stroke of the valve needle; a piston (24) which is connected to the valve needle; a stop chamber (26) in which the piston is located and which is provided with an outlet (28); and a control valve (31) which can open and close the outlet of the stop chamber, by which means the stroke of the piston in the stop chamber and therefore the opening stroke of the valve needle can be selectively limited.
