PURPOSE: A gas valve for a gas supply source or a gas pipe is provided to be accurately and rapidly opened and closed with a pair of solenoid valves installed inside. CONSTITUTION: A gas valve(2) contains a pair of solenoid valves(12,14) installed airtightly to open and close a valve(10) in a moment. Many O-rings(30,32,34,36,44) airtightly keep gas lines(38,40) for safety. A manual opening and closing device(16) consists of a handle(74), a shaft bar(70), a rack gear(68) and a pinion(72) and manually adjusts the gas valve during a power failure or the trouble of a controller. The valve and an auxiliary plate(66) are made from permanent magnets so that the valve is kept in an opening or a closing state. Finally, the gas valve becomes light and small with a fine external appearance.
