This system provides programmable weld force, amplitude, velocity and displacement as a function of position for continuous or scan welding, or as a function of time for plunge welding, for webs or intermittent parts. By altering these weld parameters, strong and uniform welds are achieved irrespective of non-uniform weld areas, part geometry, and non-random material thicknesses.
