<p>Disclosed herein are compositions and methods useful in screening a compound for its interaction and/or effect with a molecular target and/or cellular process. The invention is based on the construction of fusion proteins between a zinc finger protein designed to recognize a specific promoter and a transcription repressor or activator. Claimed are methods for the screening of substances capable of interacting with a specific cellular target or modulating a cellular pathway, involving cells stably transfected with, and expressing, the fusion protein.</p> |
