<p>For judging authenticity of a painter's work first a digital snapshot of a picture original is made, then deviations of the snapshot geometric shape from reality are removed a the snapshot is entered in a database. Later, when judgement is to be carried out whether a certain picture is an original digital snapshot thereof is made and deviations of the respective snapshot geometric shape from reality are removed. Subsequently both a histogram of the picture original from the snapshot deposited in the database and histogram of the judged picture snapshot are made. Then statistic characteristics determining similarity of color frequency in both the original and the judged picture are ascertained. Subsequently by making use of a known correlation function, deviations are evaluated and extent of congruity providing information whether the judged snapshot is an original or a counterfeit is determined.</p> |
