PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer film, a hot-melt thermal transfer film in particular, which is excellent in transferability and adhesion of ink in an environment of high temperature and high humidity and enables attainment of a clear image, in regard to a thermal transfer type print. SOLUTION: This image receiving film for thermal transfer is formed by providing a coating layer constituted of the following component (A) on the surface of a substrate constituted of a thermoplastic resin film. (A) An aqueous dispersion of resin is prepared by dispersing in water an olefin copolymer (a) to which an unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof is bonded, by using at least one kind selected from a group comprising a nonionic surface active agent, a nonionic water-soluble macromolecule, a cationic surface active agent and a cationic water-soluble macromolecule as a dispersant (b). The weight ratio per a solid content of (a)/(b) is 100/1-100/30 and the average particle size is 5 μm or less. |
