PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accumulate a platelike body such as venner conveyed of which a length in the conveying direction is M, at an interval N (where N>=M) with neither buckling nor being divided into sections. SOLUTION: A belt 5 which is equipped with many nails 3 and stopped, is traveled by acceleration by a signal wherein a detector 23 detects the veneer P1 conveyed with a carrying out conveyor 1 at a speed V, and its speed is made the same speed as the speed V until the veneer P reaches a piercing position S. After piercing the whole of the veneer P1 by a nail 3 at the piercing position S, the belt 5 is further accelerated and traveled. Then, the belt 5 is decelerated, traveled and stopped. Besides a lifter 17 is allowed to descent by a signal wherein a detector 25 detects the veneer P1, the venner P1 is separated from the nail 3, dropped and accumulated on an accumulating stand 21.
