PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the bending phenomenon in the upper end side of a long fiber bundle. SOLUTION: A long fiber bundle 10 is folded in two and disposed so that both end parts 10c is fixed to a supporting member 2 arranged in a column main body, bringing the folded part 10b to the upper end side. Then, in the center of the cone-shaped folded part 10b, two fibers are gathered and supported by each other to suppress the bending phenomenon at the time of feeling water. Then, the increasing rate of pressure loss is delayed, thereby reducing back- washing frequency.
