PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working device having a torque transmitting means capable of being easily maintained and controlled by applying a non-contact-type torque transmitting means such as a permanent magnet or the like as a means for transmitting the torque of a motor to a chuck holding a lens-barrel in coating the lens-barrel. SOLUTION: A rotating device 104 of a chuck 23 mounted on a coating station of a coating device 10 applies a pair of permanent magnet units 106, 108 as torque transmitting means, and the torque of a driving shaft 11 of a lens-barrel rotating motor 110 is transmitted to a rotary shaft 25 of the chuck in a non-contact state by the magnetic force produced by these permanent magnet units 106, 108. The magnet unit 106 is fixed to the driving shaft 111 of the motor 110, and the magnet unit 108 is fixed to the rotary shaft 25 of the chuck 24. A clearance 114 between the magnet units 106, 108 is determined to transmit the torque of the motor 110 to the chuck 24 in a non-contact state.
