PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for the internal surface of food can which excels in fabricability, boiling water resistance, retortability, resistance to contents, hygienic qualities and the like. SOLUTION: The can coating material resin composition comprises (C) an epoxy modified polyester resin obtained by reacting (A) a polyester resin having diethylene glycol in the polyalcohol component as the essential component with (B) an epoxy resin, and (D) a curing agent.
