Calliper body for disc brakes

A one-piece calliper for disc brakes is produced by forming two separate half-callipers (3, 4) by diecasting, machining the two separate half-callipers to form the necessary mechanical details, and finally welding the two half-callipers together by suitable welding methods, such as electron beam welding, plasma welding, or friction welding with a rotating stirring element.
