PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying catalyst capable of expressing NOx purifying capacity satisfactory in the environment of the temperature higher than 250 deg.C. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas purifying catalyst is a mixture of praseodymium oxide on which Pt having reducing capacity is deposited and which has NO2 absorbing capacity, CeO2 having NOx adsorbing capacity and zeolite having HC adsorbing capacity.
