PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a register for an air conditioner capable of providing stable operation load regardless of usage environment, composable in a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: In this register, a damper plate 8 is journalled in a ventilation passage 6 of a retainer 2 rotatably openable and closable, a damper knob 10 for operation is pivotally supported by the retainer 2, and a shaft of the dampler plate 8 is linked with a part of the damper knob 10 through a link member. Between the rotatable damper knob 10 and a static part of the retainer 2, a magnet plate 17 and a magnetic metal plate 16 are disposed to face each other through a non-magnetic sheet 18, the magnet plate 17 is installed on the damper knob 10 or the static part side, the magnetic metal plate 16 is installed on the static part side or the damper knob 10, and when the damper knob 10 is operated to rotate, the magnet plate 17 and the magnetic metal plate 16 slide to each other through the non-magnetic sheet 18.
