PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head in which multiple color inks can be used while reducing the head size and the nozzle pitch can be decreased without sacrifice of image quality. SOLUTION: Pressure generating chambers 2 are arranged in arrays, nozzle openings 3 communicating with the pressure generating chambers 2 are arranged in arrays, piezoelectric oscillators 6 for causing to generate pressure in respective pressure generating chambers 2 are provided, and first and second ink storage chambers 4A, 4B extend in the arranging direction of one array of pressure generating chambers 2. Since an array of first ink supply openings 15A interconnecting the first ink storage chambers 4A and the pressure generating chambers 2, and an array of second ink supply openings 15B interconnecting the second ink storage chambers 4B and the pressure generating chambers 2 are juxtaposed on one end side of each pressure generating chamber 2, and ink of different colors is ejected from the same array of nozzle openings 3, size of the recording head itself can be reduced. The size of the recording head itself is not increased significantly even if the number of ink storage chambers is increased in order to increase the number of color inks being used. |
