PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishline having excellent seawater resistance, weather resistance, twist-setting ability and friction characteristics in addition to a superior mechanical properties such as a high strength, a high tensile modulus and a low breaking elongation. SOLUTION: This fishline is constituted by coating a fluororesin containing 3-10 wt.% fine-grained TiO2 pigment or fine-grained complex oxide-based pigment compounded therewith, on the surface of a filament yarn of a PBO fiber having the physical properties of >=4.5 GPa tensile strength, >=180 GPa tensile modulus and <=4% breaking elongation, or a para-based aramid fiber having the physical properties of >=2.0 GPa tensile strength, >=100 GPa tensile modulus and <=5% breaking elongation.
