<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust and control an optical axis angle of a headlight in relation to a car body, to always keep constant an optical axis angle of the headlight in relation to a road surface, and to allow a driver to always, adequately, visually recognize a state of a remote road surface, even if an angle of the car body changes in relation to the road surface depending on an amount of load and its loading position, and number of passengers and their sitting positions. SOLUTION: A distance L from a transmitting/receiving element mounted to the headlight to obliquely front road surface is measured by radar. An angle of the headlight in relation to a car body is controlled by an electrical actuator so as to keep the distance L constant.</p> |
