PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the extremely small electric vacuum cleaner with high suction performance, low noise and high usability for performing cleaning while holding a main body with one hand. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is constituted of a motor-driven blower chamber 3 with a built-in small-sized motor-driven blower 25, an almost cylindrical cleaner main body 1 provided with a dust collecting chamber 2 communicated with it and a suction tool 7 connected to the front part of the cleaner main body 1. In the form of almost straightly arranging the suction tool 7, the dust collecting chamber 2 and the motor-driven blower chamber 3, the outer diameter of the cleaner main body 1 is set to a dimension holdable by a person with one hand. Thus, the extremely small electric vacuum cleaner of the high suction performance, the low noise and the high usability for performing cleaning while holding the main body is provided.
