PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a recording sheet, high in water absorbing property and solid in the rigidity of a printed part. SOLUTION: When the recording sheet 10 is employed for printing through an ink jet printer, water among ink constituents coated (printed) on the surface of an ink receptor layer 13 is absorbed into a water-soluble urethane resin in the ink receptor layer 13, while a dye is fixed to the ink receptor layer 13 by a cationic polymer having a carboxylic acid group. In this case, excessive water and a high boiling point solvent in the ink constituent are absorbed by a hydrophilic polyvinyl acetal included in a primary coat 12, and the dried condition of the ink receptor layer 13 is maintained whereby the ink absorbing property of the recording sheet 10 is high and the part coated by the ink (printed part) of the ink receptor layer 13 becomes solid. |
