PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Mn-Zn(manganese-zinc) ferrite having a resistivity higher than an order or 1 Ωm and also having a high initial permeability of >=3,000 at 100 kHz and >=100 at 10 MHz. SOLUTION: This Mn-Zn ferrite consists of 44.0-49.8 mol% of Fe2O3, 15.0-26.5 mol% of ZnO, 0.02-1.00 mol% of Mn2O3 and the remainder of MnO as principal ingredients. By restraining the content of Fe2O3 in a smaller range than 50 mol% of the stoichiometric content and also by controlling the formation of Mn2O3, the Mn-Zn ferrite can be used in a wide frequency band ranging from 100 kHz to 10 MHz. |
