PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new monomer, a polymer derived from the monomer and having high oxygen-permeability and high hydrophilicity and a lens for eye made of the polymer. SOLUTION: The objective monomer is expressed by general formula (a) (A1 to A9 are each independently H, a 1-8C alkyl, a 6-12C aralkyl or a 6-10C aryl and one or more 1-9C groups having epoxy group, hydroxyl group or amino group; (a), (b) and (c) are each independently 0 or 1; X is a group having polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond; A is N-Y, O or S; Y is H or a (substituted) 1-8C alkyl or 6-10C aryl; and L is a 1-10C bivalent group). |
