PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device of a cap for a molten metal container which may be improved in hermeticity. SOLUTION: The sealing device 1 of the cap 7 for the molten metal container 3 has an annular guide frame 16 having a groove 7 opened in its lower part and a sealing block 17 hung and held vertically movably at the groove 7 and abuttably on the top end face of the molten metal container 1 at the peripheral edge of a cap body 10 of the cap 7.
