PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device suitable for polishing a magnetic head, and a lapping work jig, capable of stably executing the polishing. SOLUTION: This method for polishing a work having plural resisting elements, by pressing and retracting the work with respect to an abrasive face by plural bending mechanisms, comprises a step for measuring the shape of the work, a step for calculating a manipulated variable to each bending mechanism on the basis of the shape of the work, a step for pressing the work to the abrasive face by the bending mechanism in accordance with the calculated manipulated variable, and a step for updating the manipulated variable to each bending mechanism on the basis of a working amount of the work. |
