RESIN COATED FLEXIBLE STEEL PIPE AND RESIN COMPOSITION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated flexible steel pipe not bringing about the generation of harmful gas or environmental pollution at a time of incineration and capable of improving the bending properties of a flexible steel pipe. SOLUTION: In the resin coated flexible steel pipe 3 constituted of a raw pipe 1 and the outer layer 2 applied to the outer surface of the raw pipe 1 by resin coating, the outer layer 2 is formed using a composition prepared by mixing 20-300 parts by weight of an inorganic filler with 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer containing no halogen substance. By this constitution, the resin coated flexible steel pipe excellent in various characteristics such as bending properties, preservation of environment or the like is obtained while preventing environmental pollution.
