METHOD FOR INSPECTING PRINTED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging whether a fault exists or not in a density unevenness or a color tone of a printed product outputted from a printer. SOLUTION: The method for inspecting the printed product utilizes that the product fundamentally has sixteen colors (in the case of using four color inks). Colorimetric values of the sixteen colors are previously prepared in an ideal color table. A read image of the product to be inspected is partitioned to many reading blocks. Whether the respective blocks are constituted of only ideal colors or not are judged to inspect the presence or absence of the density unevenness or the fault in the color tone.
