PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reservoir structure of a braking device for an automobile which can provide a compatibility of forward setting of a cowl with a simple configuration, and improvement of the workability both for an engine and an engine auxiliary. SOLUTION: The braking device 16 comprises a master cylinder 14 and a reservoir 15 provided on an engine room side of a dash panel 5 partitioning the engine room 1 from a cabin 4, a cowl member 12 covers a portion above the braking device, the reservoir 15 is vertically split into two, i.e., a first reservoir 18 on the lower side and a second reservoir 19 on the upper side. The second reservoir is connected to the first reservoir rotatably around the perpendicular axis, the second reservoir is substantially accommodated in the cowl. A brake fluid inlet 30 provided forward of a vehicle body of the second reservoir in a projecting condition is exposed forward of the cowl.
