PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new moisture conditioning/deodorizing material consisting of a porous material provided with moisture conditioning function and also deodorizing function. SOLUTION: The moisture regulating/deodorizing material A having the moisture conditioning function and also the deodorizing function consists of a porous material obtained by using pulverized products of the siliceous shale singly or by forming the pulverized products into an optional shape. The moisture conditioning/deodorizing material B consists of a porous material obtained by burning the pulverized products of the siliceous shale singly or by burning the pulverized products formed into an optional shape. The moisture conditioning/deodorizing material C is a composite material obtained by compounding the material A or the material B and other ceramic raw material and/or a filler.
