PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for recording, excellent in the absorbing property of much amount of pigment ink when recorded through ink jet printing, high in a printing density, reduced in oozing and having a recording layer excellent in resistance to water. SOLUTION: The medium for recording provided with the recording layer on the surface of a substrate is specified so that the transmitting printing density is 1.85 or more, the transmitting density of a non-printed part is 0.70 or less and oozing is 1 mm or less under the condition that the amount of ink upon recording on the recording layer through ink jet printing employing the pigment ink is more than 10 g/m2 and less than 50 g/m2. |
