PURPOSE: A method for automatically performing an oxygen blowing process for removing a skull adhered to a refractory brick of a converter in a steel making process is provided, thereby increasing efficiency of equipment and working efficiency of the oxygen blowing process and further permitting an unskilled person to easily perform the oxygen blowing process. CONSTITUTION: The oxygen blowing method comprises: converting a blowing mode to an oxygen blowing mode by a mode selection button having a mosaic panel shape comprising an oxygen lance lifting button and a mode selection button; ascending the oxygen lance to an oxygen blowing point from a blowing waiting point using the lifting button even when a converter is in vertical attitude; performing the oxygen blowing by detecting an ascension of the oxygen lance, opening an oxygen lance main valve according to an oxygen blowing pattern set in a program logic controller and then controlling an oxygen control valve; and automatically closing the oxygen lance main valve and control valve after the oxygen blowing is completed.
