<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly orientable surface-modified pearl pigment excellent in plane orientation properties (leafing effects). SOLUTION: In the surface-modified pearl pigment, polymer particles are chemically bonded to a hydrated metal oxide and hence attach to each other without flocculating with each other. A production method for the pigment and applications thereof for inks, coating materials, and plastics are provided.</p> |
