PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression volume reduction apparatus capable of compacting a bulkyl garbage bag to a sufficient degree beforehand before throwing into a garbage truck, simply carrying it into a garbage dump place or dumping it into the garbage truck and carrying a large quantity of it into the garbage truck so as to improve transport efficiency. SOLUTION: Relating to the compression volume reduction apparatus that a desired matter to be compressed of a PET bottle, plastic container, food tray, bag filling/enclosing appropriate waste, bicycle, etc., is compressed to reduce a whole volume, by advancing/retracting at least one of facing faces, the matter to be compressed loaded between faces is compressed to reduce a volume.
