A method of forming a flexible mold and resulting article is provided where a model having the contour of the article to be molded is provided. Th e model is partially encapsulated within a flexible and substantially liquid impervious layer. The combined model and liquid impervious layer is immersed into a curable liquid composition and handle members are inserted into the curable composition liquid composition. The curable liquid composition is cured having the handles embedded within the composition and subsequent to curing, forms a solid flexible mold encompassing structure. Handle members are actuated to release the model from the layer to form t he flexible mold for the article to be produced.
