AUTOMATIC FEEDBACK POSITION CONTROLLING SIDE GUIDE

PURPOSE: An automatic feedback position controlling side guide is provided to prevent generation of chamber and telescope generated when coiling the chamber generated material by guiding a material to be processed, that is, a slab into or out of a width rolling mill and accurately centering the material into the width rolling mill. CONSTITUTION: The automatic feedback position controlling side guide comprises a chamber part consisting of a vertical roll and a bearing shaft changing a proceeding direction or an approaching angle of a bar; a side guide part consisting of a side guide frame and a support frame installed at the chamber part; pump pulsation preventing accumulators(106-1¯3) constantly maintaining irregular pressures generated from a hydraulic pump driving a side guide; servo valves(112-1¯8) automatically adjusting operation distance, force and speed of a hydraulic cylinder with control signals received from a control part; pilot operating type check valves(113-1¯8) accurately fixing a position of the cylinder when manually operating the hydraulic cylinder; flow rate control valves adjusting a speed of the cylinder when manually operating the hydraulic cylinder; a business computer memorizing and transmitting information on dimensions and materials of a slab approaching to the width rolling mill; a rough rolling control calculator calculating a target thickness width of the slab; a PLC calculating a degree of opening of the side guide; a hydraulic pressure control PLC controlling a hydraulic pump and a motor; an industrial process computer controlling sensors and an operating software, the sensors are mounted on a hydraulic facility; and servo valve amps supplying instructions received from the process computer to the servo valves as input current values.
