PCB COOLING STRUCTURE OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A PCB(Printed Circuit Board) cooling structure of a washing machine is provided to extend the life of a washing machine and improve the reliability of products by preventing the overheat of a PCB and a power element and by radiating efficiently through passing a cool water pipe in a switch element. CONSTITUTION: A hollow structure(110) is attached to a power element(50), and connected to a cool water pipe(10) to cool a PCB(40) and the power element by flowing cool water. Plural radiating fins(112) such as a heat sink are formed in the hollow structure for air cooling. A water confinement sill(13) is formed in an outlet of the cool water pipe to store and exchange coolant in the hollow structure. A cooler(100) controls the temperature of the power element by measuring the temperature of the hollow structure and by flowing cool water by opening and closing a solenoid valve(11) when detecting overheat. The PCB is prevented from being damaged by cooling the PCB and the power element completely.
