PURPOSE: An optical pickup assembly and a method for producing the assembly are provided to improve assembling operation through directly installing a holder to a yoke plate, and through fixing a yoke plate on a base after deciding locations of a magnet on the yoke plate and a coil member on a bobbin. CONSTITUTION: On a frame(51) having an optical source and a reflecting mirror, a base(50) having a combining piece(54), a yoke plate(60) having a magnet(62), and a bobbin(80) having an object lens(61) and coil members(82) are installed. Ends of suspension wires(85) are combined to the bobbin for being electrically connected with the coil members. The other ends of the suspension wires are soldered on a holder(70). In the combined state of the holder and the bobbin by the suspension wires, the bobbin is placed on the yoke plate for fixing the holder on the yoke plate by using screws(79). Moreover, the yoke plate is placed on the base while maintaining floated state of the yoke plate through inserting a jig to adjusting holes(65). Then, location and angle of the yoke plate are adjusted while varying location and angle of the jig.
