PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided, which generates discharge at the edge of luminescent cells to improve luminescence efficiency and reduces voltage drop due to a dielectric layer, reducing consumption power and stabilizing trigger discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes a scan/sustain electrode(32Y) and a common sustain electrode(32Z) formed on an upper substrate to be arranged around discharge cells, and the first and second trigger electrodes(34Y,34Z) formed on the upper substrate to be placed between the scan/sustain electrode and the common sustain electrode. The plasma display panel further has a dielectric layer(50) formed on the upper substrate to cover the scan/sustain electrode, common sustain electrode, the first and second trigger electrodes. The thickness of the portion of the dielectric layer placed on the first and second trigger electrodes is thinner than the portion of the dielectric layer corresponding to the scan/sustain electrode and common sustain electrode. |
