PURPOSE: To provide a method of evaluating a basis curved surface for a reflecting mirror, an evaluation system of evaluating the basis curved surface for the reflecting mirror and a computer readable record medium for recording a program. CONSTITUTION: The system includes a step (105a) of inputting light source information about the light source and design information indicating a basis curved surface and a step (105e) of indicating a closed curve data into an indicating device. The closed curve data indicates one plane or a plurality of planes crossing an axis Ax and one closed curve or a plurality of closed curves included into the basis curved surface. The axis Ax is determined in order to extend a light from the light source along a direction to be reflected by the reflecting mirror and in order to pass a position of the light source included into the light source information. In the case of obtaining a cross line of the one plane data or plural planes data with the basis curve, it can obtain the closed curve data. In the case of indicating a section, it can visually grasp an approximate shape of the basis curved surface as to which the light from the light source is reflected into any direction.
