摘要 PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing raw material for arc discharge carbon electrode pole from cooled waste coke powder is provided to enable economical gain to be obtained by replacing cooled liquid nitrogen coke powder as expensive raw material of artificial graphite. CONSTITUTION: Cooled liquid nitrogen coke powders produced in cooling coke liquid nitrogen in a coke manufacturing process is replaced as carbon-based raw materials for a carbon electrode pole. The cooled liquid nitrogen coke powders contain carbon powder 85 to 90% and ash 10 to 11% with granularity 12 to 400 mesh. The cooled liquid nitrogen coke powders are produced from at least one selected from group including a dust catcher, a multi-cyclone and an ECS. The cooled liquid nitrogen coke powders are stirred and mixed with coal tar and pitch for 1 to 2 hours at 140 to 150deg.C followed by adding artificial graphite, sulfur and boric acid. Mixed substance is made into a columnar body to be processed into the carbon electrode pole.
