PURPOSE: A draining device of a washing machine is provided to prevent drainage failure with rotating a drain selector by water pressure in draining. CONSTITUTION: A drain valve is controlled with a strap(4) connected to a drain selector(6). The strap is connected to a combining shaft(63), and pulled in rotating the drain selector. An operating pipe is connected to the strap, and lifted by the drain selector. Washing water from a drain pipe is discharged through a drain hose by moving up an opening of the bellows. Washing water is supplied from the drain pipe through the drain valve to the drain hose to apply tension to the bellows by bumping into the bellows. The drain selector is fixed firmly against tension of the bellows. Draining and washing are performed efficiently with preventing the inlet of the drain hose from being closed. The washing machine is used conveniently without additionally operating the drain selector in draining, and the reliability is improved. |
