FLAME-RETARDANT AND ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT-RESISTANT TRANSPARENT ORIENTED FILM AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME FROM CRYSTALLINE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN

PURPOSE: A flame-retardant transparent polyester film having excellent mechanical and optical properties, drawing property and profitability, as well as superior flame-retardant ability and brittle-resistance even at high temperature is provided. CONSTITUTION: The transparent polyester film having a thickness of 5 to 300 micrometer contains at least one flame-retardant and UV stabilizer and is prepared by directly supplying one or both of the flame-retardant and the UV stabilizer from a master batch into the crystalline thermoplastic resin during formation of the film. The retardant is provided in an amount of 0.5 to 30 wt.% while the UV stabilizer is contained 0.01 to 5 wt.% both of them based on total 100 weight of the thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin preferably comprises polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate.
