PURPOSE: An eraser for a propelling pencil having a rotating holder case is provided to facilitate the safety handling of the eraser for the propelling pencil, and to promote the easy detachment of an eraser holder. CONSTITUTION: The bolt typed eraser holder(10) formed with a screw thread(7,7a) on the inner surface thereof is mounted on the distal end of an eraser(6) of the propelling pencil. A short bar(9) is projected from the end of the eraser holder toward the inner side of the erase holder. The projected short bars serve to prevent the eraser from being unintentionally rotated within the eraser holder. A case(2) defined in the propelling pencil for receiving a lead for the propelling pencil is provided with a nut tunnel(8) having a screw thread, thereby the eraser mounted in the eraser holder is easily separated with the propelling pencil under the interaction of screw threads between the nut tunnel and the eraser holder. Also, the insertion length of the eraser is easily adjusted according to the interaction of the screw threads without using a separate tool.
