PURPOSE: An ion generating apparatus is provided to generate frequent amount of ion per unit area of negative electrode and to produce larger amount of active materials including ion and ozone by adapting conical (-) electrode and bar type (+) electrode and arranging multiple (-) electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The ion generating apparatus comprises a bar type (+) electrode (220) having circular cross-section and extended length; and a plurality of conical (-) electrodes (10) arranged at equal angle for the peak portions (11) of the electrodes (10) to face the (+) electrode (220) and at equal distance along the length of the (+) electrode (10) and applied with high voltage current. The apparatus has further a case (230) having an ion outlet (231) at one side of the case to receive the (-) electrodes (10) and the (+) electrode (220) and a fan (40) to discharge ions from the case (230) toward the outlet (231).
