PURPOSE: A method for operating a card payment path on the Internet is provided to prevent a user's personal information and credit card information from being used illegally by introducing a new operating path and associated processing program in an old electronic payment processing method. CONSTITUTION: In case that a user selects a card payment method, after accessing an electronic commerce site and selecting desired goods, an electronic commerce program, embedded in his computer, is operated and receives the content related to the selected goods. The program recognizes a card number and the price through a card reader or a card touch pad attached to the computer and transmits the card number, the price and the content related to the selected goods to a card integrated management and operation company, without going through the electronic commerce site or a payment service agent. The card integrated management and operation company transmits the card number, the price and the goods associated data to a card company, receives an approval or error result and the content related to the goods from the card company, and sends the data to the electronic commerce site and/or the user.
