PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system by which ringing information having been selected in advance by a caller user can selectively be sent to a receiver side user so as to inform the receiver side user about a call point and the importance of a speech. SOLUTION: The telephone system is provided with telephone terminals by which a call sent from a caller telephone terminal to a receiver telephone terminal informs the receiver side telephone terminal by activating a standard ringing instruction in the receiver side telephone terminal and with a data file having different ringing instructions. The ringing instructions include voice information sets, which are different from each other and also different from a standard ringing tone, and different visual information sets. In the case that the caller side telephone terminal sends a call to the receiver side telephone terminal, a user of the caller side telephone terminal uses a ringing instruction selected from the data file such as voice information instructing the recognition of the caller user and/or visual information denoting the priority of the call to inform the receiver side telephone terminal about the call.
