PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PHS communications equipment that can attain data communication by the PIAFS transmission system, whole conducting voice communication, using the ADPCM voice coding system. SOLUTION: The PHS communications equipment includes a control section 4 that has a function of managing slots of the TDMA-TDD system adopted using PHS communication through the separation of voice information and data by the PIAFS transmission system, so as to attain data communication by the PIAFS transmission system during a voice speech between PHS terminals 1 and 6 having a function of converting voice data with the ADPCM voice coding system and conducting communication and a function of data communication by the PIAFS transmission system for character data and image data or the like, and simultaneously conducts voice information and data communication by the PIAFS transmission system, to attain data communication while hearing a clear voice by the ADPCM voice coding.
