PURPOSE: To provide an IC card which easily realizes compatibility about the arrangement and function of connector terminals. CONSTITUTION: This IC card MC2 has a card base material 1A where a semiconductor integrated circuit chips 4 and 5A are mounted and a plurality of connector terminals 2 are formed and exposes the connector terminals from the casing. The connector terminals are arranged in a staggered manner in a plurality of columns between adjacent columns to each other in front of or at the back of an IC card insertion direction. A relatively simple configuration where the projection quantity of the socket terminal of a card socket is changed and one vertical column is arranged can be adopted by adopting a staggered arrangement. When the connector terminal arrangement of a lower IC card is adopted to a specified connector terminal column as it is and the dedicated function of an upper IC card is allocated to another staggered connector terminal column is allocated with respect to it, lower compatibility also can easily be realized.
