PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate a settlement with a credit card or the like in the case of electronic commerce. SOLUTION: A number AT of tokens purchased by a user is recorded in a user account and when there is an article purchase application from the user through the Internet, a vender server decides whether a number RT of tokens required for software article purchase is <=AT or not (901). When the RT is <=AT, the AT is updated by subtracting the RT, a purchase confirmation or the like is returned and a software article is downloaded to the user (910-913). When the RT is >=AT, the shortage is reported to the user and it is inquired whether an article item is to be deleted or token is to be additionally purchased (902-904). When the RT becomes <=AT by additionally purchasing the token or the like as a result, the software article is downloaded to the user. The software article can be made into rental article by attaching a permission code expressing a validity and a limit in the number of times of use as well and the permission code can be purchased by tokens. |
