FLEXIBLE PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where this type of conventional piezoelectric elements requires a complex manufacturing process and the piezoelectric elements with a large area can not be manufactured easily. SOLUTION: Since the flexible piezoelectric element has a second compound piezoelectric body 6 where a plurality of flat-plate-shaped piezoelectric ceramics 1 are arranged in a first compound piezoelectric body 5 that is made of piezoelectric ceramic powder 4 and a macromolecular base material 2, and electrodes 3a and 3b that are arranged on both the surfaces of the second compound piezoelectric body 6 while the first compound piezoelectric body 5 is arranged between the flat-plate-shaped piezoelectric ceramics 1 and one of the electrodes, the piezoelectric element can be manufactured by such a simple manufacturing method as the press method. Also, the area of the element can be increased easily.
