PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional 180 deg.-crank parallel 3-cylinder engine having three pistons of the same diameter is needed to impart an excessive weight for one piston to a piston or connecting rod or to arrange a balancer mechanism. SOLUTION: The central piston diameter is set larger than the lateral pistons, whereby the weight of the central piston is made twice the lateral pistons to keep the balance. The weight of the central connecting rod is set twice the lateral connecting rods to keep the balance.
